Mesh basket for Cheese Maker.

Small Mesh basket, h: 7,5cm, for 200-300g kefir cheese.
Large Mesh basket, h: 13cm, for 400-600 kefir cheese.
Mesh basket is specifically designed to enable slow straining. It’s made from nylon mesh, that separates the whey from cultured dairy. The mesh basket has hard frame that makes it more sturdy. When cheese is ready we can turn it upside down on the plate to take out the cheese. Between batches it can be cleaned and used again.

I recommend it because it is a versatile item. I use the colander not only to make curd from vegetable milk, but also to separate the kefir buttermilk for a thicker kefir spread. When preparing soda (water kefir), the box serves as an internal carrier for fresh fruit and herbal additives, which I can easily replace, add, and remove without interfering with the water kefir grains.
