Champagne of teas
Darjeeling tea is also called “Champagne of teas”, due to its musky-sweet tasting notes similar to muscat wine.
Black Darjeeling tea is a Chinese tea that grows in India and it is made of tea plant Camellia sinensis. Our black tea is grown in Chamong tea garden, located in Darjeeling district in the state of West Bengal. Chamong garden was established by the British planters in 1871 and it was one of the first gardens in this area.
The first pick of the teas!
The first tea is harvested in the spring after the winter dormancy, from mid March to April. The tea leaves have a flowery scent that is distinct and bright. The color of the brewed tea is light and clear.
Due to their freshness, color and mild sweetness, the first flush teas are commonly more luxurious than the other flushes.
Label FTGFOP 1 (“Finest Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe, First Grade”) means the highest quality leaves. Only tea of exceptional quality belongs to this grade.
Ingredients: organic black tea leaves
Preparation: boil the water to 100 °C and pour over tea leaves. Leave for 3-5 minutes and strain.
Storage: after opening, keep in dry, cold and dark space, closed tightly.
