Chocolate muffins with kefir and apple
With colder and shorter days we usually spend more time inside where it’s warm and cosy. And what better pastime is there than making magic with your spatula? Baking chocolate muffins is fun and easy with delicious results that will appeal to every sweet tooth. Finally add some apples to make them even more juicy and tasty.
Try out this festive chocolate muffins recipe made from kefir and decorated with apples.
Chocolate muffins with kefir and apple recipe:
Ingredients:
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 cups wheat flour
- 1 tbsp quality coco
- 1/2 cup oil
- 1 cup kefir
- 1 heaped tbsp Nutella
- 12 g backing powder
- 1/2 tsp vanilla powder or seeds from 1 vanilla pod
- 2 eggs
- 1 apple
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
Mix the ingredients until you get a smooth batter. Fill the muffin cups with batter. Cut the apple into slices and garnish the batter by sticking one end of the slice into it. Sprinkle the apple slices with brown sugar – it will caramelise slightly while in the oven. Bake the muffins at 180 °C for about 20 minutes.
