In the detox kefir smoothie, oranges and lemons provide freshness, while bananas provide a full sweet taste. Ginger helps with headaches and colds and creates a pleasant, spicy taste. Water kefir provides beneficial microorganisms that improve digestion and immune systems. The drink is also an exceptional source of chlorophyll, vitamins, minerals and proteins, which take care of the iron levels in the body and the functioning of the nervous system.
- 500 ml water kefir with slice of lemon
- juice from 2-4 oranges
- juice from ½ lemon
- 1 tsp spirulina powder
- 1 tsp chlorella powder
How to prepare detox kefir smoothie
Prepare the water kefir with a slice of lemon. Use fresh water kefir grains, organic sugar and non-chlorinated water. Leave to ferment 1 day.
Next day strain the water kefir. Chop the banana and ginger and add them to the blender. Add all other ingredients too. Blend well for a few minutes to get a consistent beverage.
