Water kefir with orange juice and flax seeds
This water kefir with orange juice is full of vitamins and nutrients. Orange and lemon are rich in vitamin C, banana is a source of potassium, ginger heals headaches and nausea, turmeric cleanses the liver. Flax seeds are a rich source of Omega-3 fatty acids and water kefir has many benefits for digestion.
It’s a perfect drink for an energetic start to the day and detoxification.
Recipe for water kefir with orange juice
Ingredients:
- 500 ml water kefir with lemon slices
- freshly squeezed orange juice from 2 oranges and 1 lemon
- banana
- ½ teaspoon ginger
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 2 tablespoons flax seeds
Preparation:
Prepare water kefir with lemon slices: add 3 tablespoons of water kefir grains to the jar and pour 500 ml water. Stir in 3 tablespoons brown sugar and add lemon slices on top. Ferment for 1 day.
Next day, prepare the kefir with orange juice. Strain the water kefir into the glass jar and add freshly squeezed orange and lemon juice. Add other ingredients: banana, ginger, turmeric and flax seeds. Blend well and enjoy.
