Overall, I’m very pleased with this product, and even more impressed with the customer service. My order initially arrived with a faulty base (I received two identical parts), and the thermometer doesn’t seem to work. The inner silicone ring also tends to stick to the glass walls each time I open the cap. That said, customer service immediately replaced the faulty base, which I really appreciated. Aesthetically, it’s a definite upgrade from a simple jar for growing a SCOBY, though it does require a bit more careful handling due to the thinner glass. As for the SCOBY culture, being a beginner I wasn’t sure if it was developing properly, and once again, customer service was extremely helpful and responsive.

I would prefer if you could have some sort of silicone, felt stoppers that would make the glass structure more stable on the wood. But that’s just me and I’ve put myself a felted pieces so I could stop the moving of the glass container when I sip myself to drink.
I found that kombucha needed more then 10 days to brew but I guess that is very personal. All in all very positive experience.

Jar itself is awesome, but I didn’t have much luck with starter – scooba was very thin and caught mold with first batch
